Grew up in Inverness, Scotland before relocating to Jacksonville, Florida to attend Jacksonville University on a golf scholarship. Earned a business management degree while at JU.

Met his wife, Andrea, at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; she worked there as a tennis pro, he worked for the golf shop.

Wife Andrea, with her sister Maria, own CRYOtherapy Jax, a cryotherapy recovery center located on Southside Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida.

Parents Mike and Val are retired and living in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Father born in San Diego, California and mother born in Scotland.

Sister Diane Knox moved to the United States in 2016 and currently works in media.

Enjoys being on the beach and going on vacations exploring the world.

Favorite sports team is Manchester United F.C. (English Premier League soccer).
