Born and raised in Dallas, Texas.

Mother, Mary, and dad, Shawn, played sports in college, and brother, Steven, played basketball at Brown University. Says his younger sister, Ellie, who has special needs, is his hero.

Married his high school sweetheart, Annie, in November 2018.

Started the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation in 2014 as a platform to lend time, awareness and financial assistance to special-needs youth, military families, junior golf and pediatric cancer and has given over $1.5 million to community groups within these four pillars.

Won the Texas Class 5A High School State Championship in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Played college golf at the University of Texas. In freshman year won three events and led the team in scoring average. Helped his team win the NCAA championship, was named to the All-Big 12 Team, Big 12 Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year, and was

Won the U.S. Junior Amateur twice (2009 and 2011) to become the only golfer other than Tiger Woods to have won that championship multiple times.

Finished T16 at the 2010 HP Byron Nelson Championship, becoming the sixth-youngest player to make a cut on TOUR, at 16 years, 9 months, 24 days.

Made five starts as an amateur on the PGA TOUR, highlighted by a T21 (low amateur) at the 2012 U.S. Open. Earned a spot in the 2012 U.S. Open as an alternate after Brandt Snedeker withdrew. Became the No. 1-ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking

Was an AJGA first-team All-American in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Named AJGA Rolex Player of the Year in 2009.
